Every few years, chapters of Krio Descendants Union Global meet in one city for a multi-day gathering. In 2023, we hosted in Dallas–Fort Worth.
The KDU Global Event is the worldwide convening of all Krio Descendants Union chapters — from London and Manchester, from Atlanta and Maryland and Texas, from Toronto, from Australia, and from Freetown itself. It is part reunion, part conference, part celebration.
KDU Texas hosted the 2023 Global Event over Labor Day weekend in Dallas–Fort Worth. Chapters from around the world flew in for three days of cultural programming, business meetings, a gala dinner, a thanksgiving service, and the most jollof rice ever cooked in Plano.
The next host city will be announced by KDU Global. Members of KDU Texas in good standing are eligible to attend. Watch the Events page for the announcement.
