Health & wellness outreach.

The Health & Wellness Outreach is the chapter’s longest-running service program in Sierra Leone. Each year, the chapter sends a small team (or partners with a local clinic) to run a multi-day public health clinic — blood pressure checks, diabetes screening, basic counselling, and referrals.

What we do

• Free blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings for adults.
• Health counselling on hypertension, diabetes, and maternal health.
• Distribution of medical supplies sent in the relief shipments.
• Referrals to partner clinics for follow-up care.

How to support

The outreach is funded by member dues and earmarked donations. Medical professionals in the chapter (and friends-of-the-chapter) volunteer their time. To get involved as a volunteer or partner, email board@kduoftexas.org.
